Vela and Glimmer and the Lighthouse

Story Preview

The sky is made of soft blue petals here. Each petal folds around you like a blanket. You are very small, and very safe.

You are Vela, a tiny firefly with wings like golden lace. The world is huge around you. Dewdrops are lakes. Leaves are continents. You walk on a wide green leaf that curves like a bowl. The air smells like honey and rain.

Something is missing. You don’t know what. But your light feels dimmer than usual. You rub your wings together. A tiny spark flickers. Not enough. VELA: "I wish my light was brighter."
