Story Preview
The Night Lantern glows soft above the Sleeping Path. Its light knows every tired traveler by name. You are Tiku, a small round robot with warm copper skin.
Tiku rolled along the Sleeping Path. The ground was made of smooth river stones. Each stone hummed when Tiku’s wheels touched it. The hum was quiet, like a lullaby.
Tiku stopped. The hum had changed. One stone sounded different. It went ping instead of hum. Tiku tilted their head TIKU: "That’s not right," TIKU: "Just one little ping."
