Story Preview
Above the waves, where the ocean hums to itself, there is a place called the Watcher’s Bowl. It is a hollow in the coral, lined with pearls that glow when the water is still. The Bowl never sleeps, but it knows how to watch.
The current carried Soren into the Watcher’s Bowl like a lullaby. Salt stung his gills just enough to remind him he was awake. Below, the sand shimmered with tiny silver fish, all sleeping in perfect rows. Above, the surface was a dark mirror, reflecting stars that weren’t really there.
SOREN: "The sky is dreaming tonight."
