Story Preview
The Vault of Whispers stands where the oldest echoes go to rest. Its doors are woven from spider silk and starlight, and they never creak. Inside, the air hums with the sound of things too quiet to hear.
Liora stepped through the silken doors, her hooves making no sound on the moonlit floor. The Vault stretched before her, a long hall lined with glass cases that glowed faintly blue. Each case held something precious and still—a sleeping breeze, a hush of snow, the pause between heartbeats.
LIORA: "Oh! Look at this one." She pressed her nose to a case holding a single, silver sigh. It curled inside like a tiny cloud, barely moving.
