Story Preview
You are Chiro, an old paper lantern with a bamboo frame and rice-paper skin. The night sky is your stage, and every star is an actor waiting for their cue. The wind carries you gently, like a hand lifting you to your place.
The hook on the wooden beam creaks as you sway. Below you, the Nightstage stretches wide—a vast meadow where fireflies flicker like stage lights. The moon, round and silver, sits in the center like a director with a baton. Chiro, you remember every performance. You’ve seen a thousand nights unfold, but tonight feels different.
The stars are restless. They twitch and shimmer, their light flickering like candles in a draft. The clouds, usually smooth as velvet curtains, keep shifting and bunching. Something is coming, but no one knows what.
