Close your eyes and picture this: a sky made of water, so still it holds the stars like scattered pearls. Below it, a land called Nidra Veli, where every path is a thread of moonlight and every breath you take makes the water clearer. This is where the sleepy travelers come to rest—the dreams, the wandering stars, even the lost sighs of the wind. And tonight, Veera the young fox is here, her paws sinking into silver moss, her nose full of the scent of jasmine and distant rain. Something is different. Something is waiting.

Veera’s whiskers twitched as she stepped onto the floating bridge of woven reeds. The water below her paws was usually clear as glass, reflecting the sky like a second world. But tonight, it was cloudy, swirling with gray and silver, as if someone had stirred it with a stick. She crouched low, her tail brushing the reeds.

VEERA: "The water’s never like this. It’s always clear when I breathe right."
