One day, Sparks said to the old turtle— "Why do you shake the whole island when you sleep?" The turtle blinked slow eyes. "I don’t mean to. My shell just rumbles when I breathe." Sparks tilted his head. "Maybe a song will help." He hummed a soft tune. The turtle’s snores grew softer. The island stopped shaking like jelly. Sparks hummed louder. The turtle’s eyes closed. The island stopped shaking like jelly. But then—Sparks’ voice cracked. The turtle’s snores roared back. Boom-boom-Boom! Sparks sighed. "Can you guess what happened?" The turtle rolled onto his side. The snores turned to little puffs. The island stopped shaking like jelly. Sparks curled up beside him. The waves lapped quiet. The stars blinked slow. The turtle slept. Sparks closed his lights. And Sparks found his answer.
