One day, Sparka the dragon said to the puddle— "Why do you glow only at night?" The puddle shimmered. A quiet ripple spread across its surface. "Not yet, not yet," the puddle whispered. Not yet, not yet Sparka tilted her head. The puddle had never spoken before. "But I have so many questions," she said. "Why do stars twinkle? Why does the wind hum? Why do my scales itch when it’s about to rain?" The puddle glowed brighter. Another ripple. "Not yet, not yet," it murmured again. Not yet, not yet Sparka sighed. She sat down on the damp grass. The night was cool, and the air smelled like wet earth. "Can you guess what happened next?" the narrator whispered. The puddle’s glow softened. It pulsed like a slow heartbeat. Sparka leaned closer. "One question," she said. "Just one." The puddle waited. "Why do you only answer at night?" The glow spread. The water stilled. "Because the dark holds all the answers," the puddle said. "But you must listen closely." Sparka closed her eyes. The glow warmed her face. Not yet, not yet She didn’t need to ask anymore. The puddle dimmed. The night grew quiet. Sparka curled up beside it. Her scales stopped itching. The stars twinkled. The wind hummed. And Sparka found her answer.
