One day, Feather said to the river stone — Why did they choose the tallest tree? The branches are too thin. The wind shakes them. I told them it was a bad idea. The stone just sat there. Between you and me, the riverbank was colder than he expected. The air smelled like wet earth and old leaves. His claws ached from gripping the branch. Can you guess what happened next?
