There was a comet, and Comet had a trail that sparkled like tiny stars. Every night, she zoomed past the moon. The moon always waved. Her dust glowed like fireflies. One evening, Comet slowed down. She looked back. Her dust glowed like fireflies. But tonight, the dust stayed. It floated. It shimmered. It made a path right behind her. Shhh... listen... can you see the little lights? Comet turned around. She flew back through her own trail. The dust tickled her tail. It felt warm. It felt happy. Her dust glowed like fireflies. She stopped. She hovered. The dust settled on her like soft snow. Now, here’s the thing about Comet... she loved to move. But tonight, she didn’t want to. The dust was too pretty. The night was too quiet. She curled her tail around herself. The dust wrapped her up like a blanket. The stars watched. The moon smiled. Comet closed her eyes. The dust still glowed. Her dust glowed like fireflies. And Comet fell asleep, warm and still.
