Your nightlight flickers — and the dream began. Chai the lantern opened her little glass door. The room was gone. Above her, stars stretched like a soft blanket, humming a quiet tune. Her glow made the stars giggle. She stepped forward, and a golden path appeared beneath her feet. Shhh... listen... can you hear the stars singing? The path twisted around a planet that spun like a top. Her glow made the stars giggle. Chai walked slowly, her light bouncing off the craters. A comet zoomed past, leaving a trail of sparkles. Chai reached out—her fingers tingled. Between you and me... she wasn’t sure if she was floating or walking. The path led to a tiny blue door in the sky. Her glow made the stars giggle. She pushed it open. Inside was her room, her bed, her nightlight waiting. Chai curled up. The golden path faded. The stars hummed softer. Her glow dimmed. Her door closed. Her light went out. And the dream slowly... slowly... faded away.
