One day, Bolt said to Puff— "Why are you floating so low, little cloud?" Puff sighed. "I forgot how to rain. My drops are stuck." Bolt tilted his head. "I can help! Watch this." Boing-boing, boing-boing, he bounced on his spring leg. Puff giggled. "You sound like a squeaky bed!" Bolt grinned. "Now for the big jump!" He crouched, then—Boingggg—up he flew, higher than the treetops. "Can you see my raindrops?" Puff called. Bolt squinted. "Nope. Just birds and—wait!" A tiny drop glistened on a leaf. Boing-boing, boing-boing. He bounced closer. "Found one!" he said, tapping it gently. The drop quivered, then plopped onto Puff’s edge. Puff wobbled. "Oof! That tickles!" Bolt bounced again. Boing-boing, boing-boing. This time, he spotted three drops clinging to a fence. One by one, he nudged them loose. Puff grew heavier. "I think… I remember now," he whispered. Bolt landed softly. "You’re welcome." Puff stretched. "Want to bounce with me?" Bolt’s springs wobbled. "Only if you promise not to rain on my circuits." Puff giggled. "No promises." And with a tiny pitter-pat, the first drops fell. Bolt closed his eyes. The rain hummed like a lullaby. His springs stopped bouncing. The drops pattered softer. Puff floated lower. Bolt’s lights dimmed. The rain whispered goodnight. And Bolt found his answer.
